اخیراً، پنجمین سالگرد هوشیاری خود را در SA جشن گرفتم؛ اما  هرگز  به اندازه کافی برای آن، سپاسگزار نبوده‌ام
 بعد از جلسه ای در کشورم، با عضوی قدیمی صحبت کردم؛ من عضو جدید  SA بودم و او هشت سال در این برنامه بود. از او پرسیدم اگر بخواهم هوشیار بمانم با دوستانم چه کنم؟ او به من گفت که نمی‌توانی با دوستان زندگی قبل از هوشیاری، رابطه داشته باشی؛ زیرا خطرناک است و ممکن است باعث لغزش تو شود
 

 
اسم من یوشی هست و من تمایل دارم که شهوت‌رانی را متوقف کنم و از نظر جنسی هوشیار بمانم. تاریخ هوشیاری من 29 جولای 1994 ( 7 مرداد 1373) است. من الان 77 سال دارم و در طی زندگی‌ام "نجات‌دهنده‌های زندگی" زیادی داشته‌ام

“Let Go”—that saying sounds so strong.
Holding on to my pain has almost become my life's song.
Letting go of my painful thoughts would probably feel like cutting off a piece of me.
Oh God, it has become part of me, can't you see?
I now realize that it's because of the feeling of security that comes with it.
“Go, go!”, my inner child shouts, “Don't even try to show me a different way! I love this so much!”
When really, there are so many better, easier, lighter ways.

It’s my pity party I want to host
So I walk along the wintry coast
The foamy sea greets the sandy beach
The former snail homes, within my reach and
The clumps of black seaweed, all doth teach
When I feel unworthy or afraid
Mother Nature’s here to save the day
She whispers something that I quite relish:
It’s good to be a little shellfish 
So why not call on me and ask for kelp?
